Feeling dis-empowered in the face of adversity and criticism seems to be the MO for us. When we get blamed for things at work or if our friends and relatives judge us for things we do, we tend to feel defeated, hurt and beaten down. “Why is this happening to me?” we ask.
The answer though- as hard as it may be to take it- “Its NOT happening to you” YOU are creating it. But one would wonder why would i be interested in creating misery, pain and suffering for myself. It simply doesn’t make sense. Well my dear, it may seem to be senseless but the TRUTH is that this pain and misery poses the potential for the greatest opportunity.
We are infinite beings… all on the journey to remember our magnificence. I cannot emphasize this enough. So why the pain? Think of it like this. You are watching a play in the theater. All characters are going along doing their business. But there is a drama brewing in one area of the stage. How do you propose we bring attentions to this section?… SPOTLIGHT!!! Pain is your higher selves spotlight to let you know, “Lookie we have a problem here.”
Its designed to shift your focus to the area which needs help. Let me get into the specifics of the type of help pain is trying to flag- dissatisfaction with your progress, not being recognized for your efforts, feeling belittled, things not going your way.
It is important to remember you are creating your reality. You already KNOW that all the joys, tribulations are your thoughts and actions manifest successfully. i.e if you are happy in your job you will remember how well you manifested it by studying for the interview or aggressive networking, or by writing the most ridiculous but effective cover letter. In short we have NOOO problems in accepting our gifts are a result of our creation.
Its when we are unsuccessful, we seem to outsource our responsibility. We tend to think we are unfairly treated, misunderstood, wrongly accused and tend to either blame or feel guilt. This is where your opportunity lies to realize that your are the creator EVERY aspect of your life, and once you see this you can CHANGE it.
Don’t judge yourself. Begin to say to yourself, “I will accept responsibility for all that I am involved in. I will accept responsibility for everything that happens to me. If I don’t like what is happening to me, I will begin to ask myself why I create things that I don’t like. Maybe it’s to get my attention about something so that I can change what is really not working for me that I cannot see.”
Having had some practice in guiding myself and others through this process… If you need assistance in nipping it in the bud, I am here to help.. www.blissinstinct.com
When life shines light onto areas that are overcast- heed to the opportunity and go deeper into the pain… and there in lies the opportunity to NEVER create the painful situation again. Most often, the hidden pain is where the greatest light is. We fear only our illumination nothing else.
